Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our hospitality and real estate organization. The ideal candidate will provide essential legal and administrative support, specializing in areas related to hospitality operations, real estate transactions, contract management, and compliance. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with executives and external partners to support the company's legal needs.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Document Preparation and Review
- Draft, review, and revise contracts, leases, license agreements, and other legal documents.
- Assist in preparing corporate governance documents, including board resolutions, meeting minutes, and policies.
- Manage agreements such as vendor contracts and confidentiality agreements.
Real Estate Transactions
- Support the executive team in real estate acquisitions, sales, leases, and financing transactions.
- Conduct title searches, review surveys, and analyze zoning reports.
- Coordinate and track closing activities, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and filed.
Hospitality Operations Support
- Assist with franchise agreement negotiations and renewals for hospitality properties.
- Provide legal support for management agreements with third-party operators.
Compliance and Regulatory Matters
- Conduct legal research on regulatory requirements related to hospitality and real estate industries.
- Monitor and track compliance deadlines, including licenses, permits, and corporate filings.
- Maintain organized records of compliance documentation.
Administrative and Organizational Support
- Maintain and update the company’s legal files and contract management system.
- Respond to legal inquiries from internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate communication with external counsel as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree required. Paralegal certification from an ABA-accredited program preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in a corporate, real estate, or hospitality setting.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of real estate and corporate law.
- Proficiency in contract management and legal research tools.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
